Dutch Fork Edges Lexington Ladies

The Lady Wildcats got off to a double-digit lead in the first quarter and finished with a 25-point win Tuesday evening at White Knoll.  With the 55-30 final, Lexington improved their season record to 12-3 and are off to a 1-0 start in Region 5. With their star shooting guard still under the weather, the Lady Wildcats struggled to score for their second straight night at the Carolina Invitational in Charleston.  Lexington was able to draw within 2 points of the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets at the end of 3 quarters, but were outscored 14-2 in the final frame and suffered a 41-27

The Lady Wildcat defense was extra stingy in the 1st half Tuesday night, holding the Irmo Yellowjackets to just 10 points.  They withstood a late Jacket challenge to notch their 8th in a row by a final of 48-39, completing the home-and-away sweep this season.  Lexington is now 9-1 and hosts a strong Dreher team
