Head Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist
Coach Leaphart is in his 34th year as Head Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist for Lexington High School. He is a 1980 graduate of Newberry College. He completed studies at MUSC in 1982, earning a degree in Physical Therapy. Coach Leaphart and his wife Janis are members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Gilbert and have two children, both graduates of Lexington High School. A standout football player at both the high school and collegiate level, he is a member of the Lexington High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
Coach Greenleaf earned a bachelor’s degree from Charleston Southern University and a masters in Exercise Science from Middle Tennessee State. He is an athletic trainer certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association. Chris is also certified as a strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He, his wife Courtney, and son Kellen reside in Lexington.
Coach Wilkes is a native of Raleigh, NC and previously served as the head athletic trainer at North Augusta High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Western Carolina University and a masters in Physical Education from the University of South Carolina. Ashleigh is an athletic trainer certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association. In addition to her duties with the athletic department, Coach Wilkes teaches Sports Medicine at Lexington High School.
