Wildcats Hosting Hoops Showcase Saturday

Lexington Wins Holiday Tournament!

Wildcat Hoops made it 3 in a row in Charleston, winning the 52nd edition of the Modie Risher Classic. Lexington defeated the host Bulldogs of Burke High School in the final by a 74-54 margin.  Senior Dylan Rivers and 8th-Grader Cam Scott scored 22 apiece to lead the Cats. The Wildcats advanced to the tournament

1st Round Win at Modie Risher Classic!

Lexington opened their holiday tournament play with a 1st-Round victory over Military Magnet by a 54-50 final.  They move on in the winner’s bracket of the Modie Risher Classic to face Summerville, a 52-44 winner over Swansea. The tournament began in 1967 and is named for Modie Risher, the legendary multi-sport coach at Burke High

On Friday evening, Lexington proved to be a tough challenge for a good Irmo Yellowjacket team.  The Cats scratched their way to an early lead and extended it to an 11-point margin at the half.  But a big 3rd quarter by the Jackets turned out to be the difference in a 53-48 final. CJ Washington

Lower State Champions!
