Hanging In With #1: Panthers Nip Wildcats, 5-3

Lexington began play in the SC Diamond Invitational Wednesday afternoon against a formidable opponent, the state’s #1 ranked Carolina Forest Panthers. Starter Jon Scott held Carolina Forest scoreless through 3 innings, allowing just 2 hits.  Lexington’s Josh Asbill pounded a leadoff double in the bottom of the 3rd inning but was stranded after three straight groundouts.
