After trailing 18-9 after the first quarter of play on Friday evening against White Knoll, Lexington over powered the Timberwolves in the next two frames, outscoring them 35-9. The Cats cruised to a 62-39 win and improved their overall record to 6-1 with a 2-1 mark in Region 5.
With 6 minutes to play in the game, freshman Cam Scott hit a short jumper and surpassed 500 points in his Wildcat career. Scott along with senior guard Zavier Measmer, led the scorers with 16 points apiece. Junior Amari Davis added 10 and senior Keldric Bouknight contributed 9.
With Lexington 1 pausing all athletic events until January 8th out of an abundance of caution with spiking COVID cases, Lexington is scheduled to continue the season on January 9.
