Boys Varsity Swimming, Girls Varsity Swimming · Girls Swim to 3rd in Region with Strong Showing at State

The Wildcats Girls Varsity Swim Team placed Third overall in the Region Meet on October 3rd with some swimmers posting personal bests and some posting State qualifying times.

At the Region Meet, Grace Kolb placed First in the 50 Meter Freestyle at 29.51 and the 100 Meter Freestyle at 1:05.89 and qualified for State with both races!

Also at Region, Halie Stoertz posted up a Second place finish in the 100 Meter Butterfly with a finish time of 1:13.55 and a Second place finish in the 100 Meter Breaststroke at 1:21.52 and secured her spot at State at the same time.

Varsity Girl Swimmers going to State this year were Hanna Eckart, Grace Kolb, Maggie Head, and Halie Stoertz.

The Girls 5A State Swim Meet was Saturday and all of the Wildcat Swimmers shaved second off their times and posted personal bests.

Halie Stoertz placed 9th in the Girls 100 Breaststroke and dropped 0.5 second. Halie also swam the 200 IM and placed 28th, dropping her time by 0.4 seconds.

Grace Kolb swam the 100 Freestyle, placing 25th , and beat her personal best by 1.97 seconds! Grace also swam the 50 Freestyle, placing 25th and shaved 0.7 seconds off her best time.

Hanna Eckart swam the 200 Freestyle, finishing 24th and cutting her time by 4.22 seconds! Hanna also swam the 500 Freestyle dropping her best time by an amazing 16.88 seconds and finishing in 23rd.

Maggie Head swam the 200 IM, dropping her best time by 4.3 seconds and finishing 23rd overall!

The Varsity Girls had a great season and a great showing at State and we can’t wait to see what they do next year! Go Wildcats!
