Boys Varsity Cross Country, Girls Varsity Cross Country · Dominant: Rufener Leads Cats to Victory at Cavalier Classic


On Saturday at Dorman, the first four runners to cross the finish line were Wildcats led by senior Sarae Rufener.  She was followed by 8th graders Lydia Metz and Laurel Walls and fellow senior Ava Fowler.  Lexington also took 9th, 12th, and 13th as they decisively won the Cavalier Classic.

With their star runner recovering from injury, the Lexington boys finished in 3rd place.  Scoring for the Cats were sophomore Grant Goldsmith, junior Owen Harries, sophomore Ethan Kurtz, senior Mason Brown, and junior Judson Taylor.

Both teams will race again on Saturday, October 10th in the Coaches Classic at Winthrop University.
