Wildcats News · Time to Honor the Spring Sports Senior Athletes!

The Wildcat spring sports season will always be remembered as the only one in the 100+ year school history cut short by a viral pandemic.  Nineteen teams started their seasons but shortly were in a holding pattern, then saw the remainder of the games canceled.  Tonight we will celebrate each of the senior student athletes from the spring sports and honor them for their hard work and dedication to their teams and to Lexington High School.  At the same time, the staff has designed an event that will protect all involved from the risk of contracting COVID-19.

The athletes will be parked by team outside the baseball complex.  No others will be allowed to park in this area.  Beginning at 8:20, each team and athlete will be announced and they will come forward to receive their senior plaque and gift from Principal Melissa Rawl.  This will take place regardless of weather conditions.

Parents, friends, and the Lexington community are invited to parade through the parking lot in their vehicles to help recognize our outstanding student-athletes.  They can ride through the designated route as many times as they would like while the ceremony is taking place.

At the conclusion of the evening, the Lexington High School alma mater will be played.
