Boys Varsity Basketball · 25-0 and REGION CHAMPIONS!

For the first time since 2013, Lexington boy’s hoops are Region Champions!  And for the first time ever, the team is 25-0 after an easy night at Chapin.  The final score on Tuesday night was 61-37, similar to the 68-39 Wildcat win when the 2 teams met on January 18 at Lexington.

The Eagles hung close early in the game, but good shooting and effective defense against the inside game allowed the Wildcats to build a 19-point halftime margin.  All 14 available players saw time on the hardwood in the second half as the Cats won by 24.

After the final regular season game at River Bluff on Thursday evening, Lexington will prepare to host an opening round game of the 5A playoffs next Wednesday, February 13.

Mason Carver led his team in scoring with 2 twos, 2 threes, and a perfect 4 of 4 from the line for a total of 14 points.  His Wildcat career total now stands at 1085.  Bradley Foulks surpassed the 600-point career plateau with a 12 point game.  Another 12 points were contributed by Jonathan Corley.
