The Lexington winning streak is now at 20 games, but more important to Coach Bailey Harris is the 2-0 mark of his Wildcats in Region 5 games. “This is a tough region. It’s a battle every night but these are the games that will help us reach our goals.”
The Wildcats led by as many as 12 points against Dutch Fork on Tuesday evening, but they saw that lead trimmed to just 2 with 4 minutes to play. From there, they outscored the Silver Foxes 10-7 down the homestretch to secure the win and a school record 20 straight to start a season.
Mason Carver netted 16 points and now stands just 17 short of joining the 1000-point club. He also contributed 11 rebounds. Jonathan Corley and Bradley Foulks each surpassed the 200-point mark for the season with 15 and 14 points respectively.
Region play continues Friday night at Lexington when the Wildcat meet the Chapin Eagles. Two more home games are on tap for next week with River Bluff on Tuesday and White Knoll Friday.
