Boys Varsity Cross Country, Girls Varsity Cross Country · A Big Day At The Races

One week ago, both the Wildcat boys and girls Cross Country teams qualified for the 5A State Championship races.  This Saturday morning, they joined 19 other 5A teams to race the 5 kilometer course at Sandhills Research Park in the final and biggest race of the season.

The Lexington boys, led by sophomore Zander Jeffcoat placed 6th.  By virtue of their finishes, Jeffcoat and teammate William Johnson were named to the All-State team.  The Lady Wildcats were led by sophomore Ava Fowler finished 15th.  Both teams are loaded with young runners, making the future bright for several years to come.

Dorman won the State Championship title in both the boys and girls competitions.
