Boys Varsity Golf · Top 5 Finish!


Wildcat Golf completed play with a 5th place finish at the 5A State Championship match Monday and Tuesday at the Country Club of South Carolina.  Gaffney (549, -27) finished atop the leaderboard to capture the title.  The Indians’ Zack Gordon was medalist.

Lexington was led by Dillon Hite, who carded rounds of 69 and 74 for a total of 1-under on the par 72 course.  He individually finished 7th overall and was received All-State honors.

Coach Brandon Smith commented on the team’s performance:  “I’m really proud of our team today.  We got off to a tough start and battled all day to secure another top 5 finish…Time to take the next step and bring home a trophy next season.”
