The Wildcat Boys Varsity Golf Team played in the Patriot Invitational hosted by Fort Dorchester Sunday and Monday in Summerville. Day 1 had windy and cold weather in store and showed with higher than normal scores across the board in the 95 player/19 team field. Lexington finished day 1 tied for the lead with Myrtle Beach with a team score of 324. Myrtle Beach moved away on Day 2 to claim the win by 15 strokes over Lexington with a team score of 635. Lexington’s Dillon Hite posted the lowest score for the Wildcats with his 82/76 (158), 8th place finish while Alec Vardas scored 80/79 (159) to finish T9th to round out the All-Tournament Top 10 Team. Ethan Kitts scored 80/85 (165) to place T20th while Connor Patterson placed T34th scoring 82/87 (169). Mavrick Mullinax scored 90/86 (176) and placed T57th.
The Wildcats play in the Bengal Invitational at Columbia Country Club next week.
