Each year when November rolls around, Lady Wildcat Competitive Cheer is busy at work, making final preparations for another title run. They have become the dominant South Carolina High School team in their sport.
Coach Shannon Canady and her team are the defending State Champions. Over the past 4 seasons, they captured 2 championships, 1 runner-up, and 1 3rd place finish.
It’s been a successful 2016 for the girls. They were winners in the Wildcat Cheer Classic. They took first place at the Battle at the Bluff. They were 1st and Grand Champions at the Dorman Cavalier Cheer Classic and followed up with a win at the Lake Murray Invitational. Last weekend at the Debbie Rogers Cheer Classic they tied for 1st but were declared runner-up by virtue of the tie breaker process.
On Saturday, November 11, Lexington will compete in the 5A State Qualifier at River Bluff High School. They’re goal is to earn another spot in the 5A State Cheer Championship at the Colonial Life Arena on November 19.
This year’s team is led by seniors Alexis Almeida, Reagan Alvarez, Sara Craven, Ashleigh Harding, Carsyn Kinkaid, Kayley Manini, and Jose Picker.
