Boys Varsity Swimming, Girls Varsity Swimming · Swimmers Strong At Blue Devil Invitational!

Wildcat swimmers competed on Sunday in the Dreher Blue Devil Invitational against 15 other high schools from across the state.
The Girls finished with a strong 4th place finish behind Dorman, River Bluff, and South Aiken. The Boys finished 2nd to River Bluff by just 9 points.
The top 10 finishers in each event scored points for their teams.
Individual swimmers scoring for the Lady Wildcats: Junior Emma Jeter,  Freshman Riley Hardy, and top scorer with 19 points for the Cats was Senior Captain Maggie Halloran. 
Maggie Halloran set an all time Wildcat Girls’ school record in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:56.61.
Scoring points for the Boys: Senior Co-captains Seth Kurtz and Kyle Williams, Senior Austin Rich; Juniors Taylor Montgomery and Preston Mazzei; Freshmen Ray Fairbank and JJ Hardy.
Hardy was the top scorer for the boys team, winning both of his events and just 0.02 seconds off of an all-time Wildcat record in the 100 Butterfly. 
The Boys won their 200 freestyle relay and placed 2nd in the 400 free relay. The Girls also swam strong, finishing 2nd in both of their freestyle relay events.
Coming up this week:  Senior recognition night and final dual meet of the season against the River Bluff Gators this Wednesday, September 28th at 6 PM at the Country Club of Lexington.  
On Saturday, October 1, the Wildcats travel back to Augusta for the Region 5 championships.
