Multiple Teams · Down Goes Dorman: Poe’s Goal Wins It In OT

Kyle Poe’s 3rd goal of the evening was extra special Tuesday night.  It sent the Wildcat Lacrosse team and their fans home with a quality win over Dorman.

The Cats took a slim 8-7 lead to the halftime break but the Cavaliers tied it in the 3rd and both teams matched each other with 2 goals in the last quarter to send the match to a Sudden Victory OT.  That’s when Poe’s shot whistled by the Dorman tender for the 12-11 Wildcat win.

Freshman Brian Guerra scored 2 goals and had 1 assist for Lexington while Tyler Wack contributed 2 goals.  1 goal each came from TA Whitlock (+2 assists), Jake Vining (+2 assists), John Mills, Connor Sisk, and Kyle Zuba.

Robert Gallagher made 18 saves of 29 Cavalier shots on goal.

The win was Lexington’s 5 against 3 losses.  They play at home on Thursday when the Raptors of Academic Magnet visit.
