The Lady Wildcats played the Lower State Qualifier on Monday at the Country Club of South Carolina in Florence against 15 teams and individuals in a field of 77 players trying to get to the State Championship next week. The weather was brutal with a combination of rain and high winds topped off with a cold front that moved in during the round. The Wildcats powered through to qualify for State in first position with Gracyn Burgess scoring the lowest round of 71 for a 1st place finish. Molly Hardwick shot a 76 and tied 4th while Karlee Vardas and Isabella Rawl both shot 77 and tied in 6th place to round out the team score of 301. Kennedy Gooding landed in 10th place with a score of 80 putting all 5 players in the top 10. The Cats compete in the State Championship next Monday and Tuesday at the Country Club of Lexington trying to bring another championship home to Lexington High School.
