Golfers Win Pink-Out Tourney!

The Lady Wildcats teed it up in the 11th Annual Smith Memorial at the Country Club of Newberry on Tuesday playing 16 other teams in a field of 91 players. This “pink out” tournament is all about cancer awareness.

The Wildcats won with a team score of 308 bettering Byrnes and Boiling Springs by 11 strokes. Karlee Vardas led the team with her 1 over par round of 73 carding 4 birdies on the day and earned a 3rd place finish and a spot on the all-tournament team. Both Gracyn Burgess and Isabella Rawl scored 78s and finished tied for 5th and also made the all-tournament team. Kennedy Gooding rounded out the team score with a score of 79 and finished tied for 10th place. Hannah Stephenson finished tied for 14th with a score of 81. Molly Hardwick scored 82 and tied 18th and Emily Beiers finished tied at 44th.

The Lady Cats play their last regular season tournament on Thursday in the rescheduled Palmetto Preview at Mid Carolina Golf Club.
