Last Friday and Saturday the Wildcats played in the prestigous Southern Cross Invitational at Palmetto Golf Club in a field of 21 teams/90 players. The Palmetto Club is known to be one of the nicest courses in this area and the golf talent proved to be top notch! The four person teams were challenged with fast greens and a perfectly groomed course. Lexington won the Tournament in 1989 and has been chasing a victory since.

The Cats landed in 7th place at the end of day 1 with Dillon Hite carding a 73, Alec Vardas a 78 and both Connor Patterson and Gracyn Burgess with 81s.

Day 2 proved to be difficult for the Wildcats and they slipped a couple spots to end up in 10th place amongst the extremely talented field. Dillon Hite shot 77, Alec Vardas shot 79, Gracyn Burgess shot 81 and Connor Patterson shot 83.

The Wildcats compete in Region on Monday to try to hold on to the Regional Title.
