Class Of The Field At Blue Jacket Invitational!

The Lady Wildcat golf team participated in the Blue Jacket Invitational on August 27 and 28.  The Wildcats posted a 2 day team total of 636 to best defending 3A State Champion St James by 40 strokes.

The team was led by the tournament’s individual champion, 7th grader Isabella Rawl (74-74) and 3rd place finisher, 8th grader Karlee Vardas (74-76).  7th grader Molly Hardwick also had a great tournament by posting rounds of 87 and a career best 77 for a top 6 finish.  Abby Gore rounded out the team with her 15th place finish.

The Wildcats also had a B team in the tournament and they finished in 7th place out of the 16 teams.  7th grader Kennedy Gooding led them with her 16th place finish.  She had a career best 84 in round 1.  Hannah Stephenson also had a top 20 finish in 18th, making it 6 Wildcats in the top 20.  8th grader Emily Beiers and 7th grader Bella Bernagozzi also had played well for Lexington

The girls will be back in action on Tuesday Aug 30th in the Palmetto Preview at Mid Carolina Golf Club.  The field will include all 3 defending state champions.
