In the past 4 season, Lexington Competitive Cheer has earned 2 state championships, 1 runner-up, and one 3rd place finish in the highly competitive 4A Division.  They have quickly established themselves as on of the elite programs in all of South Carolina high school athletics.

Coach Shannon Canady and her girls are optimistic about the upcoming season as they make final preparations for the ACX Palmetto Classic on September 24, their opening competition.  One week later, on October 1, Lexington will host the Wildcat Cheer Classic.  Throughout the competitive season, they will be targeting another historic performance for November 19, the 5A State Championships at the Colonial Life Arena.  Last year Lexington recorded the highest score in South Carolina history as they captured the state title for the 2nd time in 3 years.

With only 6 team members lost to graduation, the Wildcats return plenty of experienced athletes.  The 2016 Varsity team will feature 7 seniors, 9 juniors, 6 sophomores, 6 freshmen, 2-8th graders, and 1-7th grader.

2016 seniors include: Alexis Almeida, Reagan Alvarez, Sarah Craven, Ashleigh Harding, Leah Kincaid, Kayley Manini, and Josie Pickler.
